Concept:
A consulting wizard and a non-profit doctor recently acquired an apartment in a 1970s 'Tropical Brutalist apartment building on the barrier island of Key Biscayne, “Island Paradise”.
This very active couple wanted to create a part-time refuge that fits their current and future needs for quiet introspection and occasional entertainment/visits.
We decided to open up the plan to allow for flexibility in use and be able to enjoy the views of the ocean and the bay from all spaces.
The project palette is neutral with warm whites and grays in order to allow for the their colorful art and wood furniture to pop.
